Reading Buddies
The Youth Alliance Reading Buddies Program increases young children’s prospects for success in school and life through weekly one-to-one reading experiences. These encounters with our dedicated mentors lead to real leaps in learning that include greater listening and comprehension skills, development of curiosity and critical thinking skills, and increased fluency and expression. We also present each young reader with a book of their own, and celebrate holidays with treats and gifts of school supplies!
