We are providing a helping hand to deserving students as they achieve their dreams of College Graduation and break the cycle of poverty.
All scholarships are given to public school students from Greene and Putnam high counties
Scholarships are only awarded to PELL (identified need) and HOPE eligible students
All scholarship recipients are assigned a Mentor to help guide them through their college journey. This is why our scholarship students average a 3.6 GPA and we have a 93% retention rate!
Scholar Spotlight | Jordan Harless
Summa Cum Laude - University of Georgia
Our initial college graduate in 2020, Jordan Harless graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of Georgia! This was accomplished in just two years because of Dual Enrollment in high school. She is now currently in grad school at Duke University and plans on teaching secondary education.

Since the founding of LOYA in 2010, our goals have been to assist Greene and Putnam County students in increasing literacy, broadening exposure to arts and history, improving soft skills, encouraging post-secondary career pathways, and aiding in college matriculation. Since then, over 500 students have been mentored, and 52 students have been awarded four-year college scholarships.
An all-volunteer organization, your support is critical to us achieving our goals. Please consider donating in support of underserved graduates of Greene and Putnam County High Schools.
