History of the lake oconee youth alliance

Supporting the students of Greene & Putnam Counties since 2010.

The Lake Oconee Youth Alliance is dedicated to the empowerment of under served youth through mentoring programs and financial support for post-secondary education. It is a separate 501c3 organization staffed with community volunteers from Greene and Putnam Counties. Over the years it has served over 500 kindergarten through college-level students in both counties.

The Youth Alliance started in 2010 with summer enrichment programs that lasted for 8 years and from it came the Putnam County Summer Enrichment Activities. Since the program’s creation, over 500 students have been mentored in a variety of Youth Alliance enrichment programs offered in the primary/ elementary, middle, and high school settings.
